NEWS: 31/03/08 The Commons Select Committee visited Track 2000 and viewed the work we do in conjunction with lone parents in the Cardiff area. Our training officer Lisa Bladen and Training Director Judith Fox facilitated the committee and gave presentations and feedback to the committee. The report is now online for people to view here. Please check section 13 for a special mention of Track 2000. Track 2000 training now provides three extra courses available through New Deal these are: 1, Look To The Future: This course is for lone parents and is a part time 2-week course. 2, Hospitality and Catering: An introduction to the Hospitality and Catering industries 3, Introduction to Care: Again this is a course designed to give a background in the care industry. All these courses can be accessed by speaking to your Jobcentre Plus advisor. Please enquire to see whether you are eligible. *Other Information;* We also are unable to provide computer base units / towers for sale due to a shortage of machines being donated. We are also currently accepting donations for the above and we also need domestic appliances to be donated to us. Many thanks to our customers for the donations we have recieved this year!!!! 25/05/06 Donations at Resource House Please note we no longer accept goods delivered to Resource House, this is due to the lack of people available to check the goods over and the amount of unusable goods left outside. Some were goods that we would not normally accept, e.g. refrigerators, sanitary ware and carpets. Many items were beyond economical repair and meant that we were incurring landfill charges. We apologise for this but hope that all our customers will understand our reasons for this decision. As always we are more than happy to collect goods from customers' homes in the Cardiff area.
